Please print off a copy of these Terms and Conditions for Your own reference before accepting the Terms & Conditions and placing an order. Our website is a place for you to select and order lubricating oil and associated products. Our website describes the oil in more detail.
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions made via the Car-oil website.
By placing an order you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Sale. Nothing in these terms shall affect your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
1. Contract, Availability and Pricing
1.1. Our website invites you to buy domestic heating oil from us on these Terms and Conditions. Your order is an offer to buy lubricating oil subject to these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for the accuracy of your order. A legally binding contract will only arise once we have received payment for oil in full from you. We will notify you of acceptance of your order by e-mail to the e-mail address given by you in the order form. On receipt of your order we will:- [1.1.1. E-mail you to confirm that we have received your order and give you the opportunity to rectify any mistakes. 1.2. Chandlers Oil & Gas Ltd warrants that all oil promoted for sale is of a satisfactory quality. 1.3. All oil is offered for sale subject to availability. 1.4. All prices are stated in Pounds Sterling and must be paid in full, in Pounds Sterling. From time to time we may amend our terms and conditions without prior notice. Changes will apply to any subsequent order received. 1.5. The price you pay is that displayed on our website at the time your order is received and will include VAT. Whilst we try to ensure our pricing information is accurate, if an error is found in the pricing of your order we will inform you and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the amended price or to cancel. In the event that we cannot contact You We will treat the order as cancelled.
2. Payment
2.1. We accept all major credit / debit cards. We do not offer credit facilities, your order will only be delivered if we have received the full price of your order at the time of ordering. 2.2. We will debit the price from your debit or credit card when we receive your order or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter. 2.3. Shopping via the Internet requires you to give details such as your name, address and other relevant information. When placing an order on our website, your personal details are passed through to our secure Internet Payment Service Provider (Secure ePayments) who use encryption software in an attempt to keep your information secure. However, We cannot guarantee that any messages transmitted by You over the internet, including those that include Credit / Debit card details, will not be corrupted or intercepted by a third party. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law Chandlers Oil & Gas Limited excludes all liability for the integrity of any messages sent or received via the Internet.
3. Delivery
3.1. We deliver only to the following postcode areas:

3.2. Delivery will be made to the delivery address you specify on the order form at the time of ordering, subject to compliance with Clause3.1. 3.3. Delivery will be made as soon as is practicably possible after your order has been received. 3.4. If you’re domestic heating oil does not arrive, please contact us and we will investigate. In case of delivery discrepancies, please ensure you contact us within 48 hours of receipt of your oil. You can e-mail us at sales@car-oil.co.uk.
4. Your responsibilities you agree to ensure that:
4.1. Any special delivery instructions are clearly and concisely notified at the time of the order; 4.2. You provide safe access for our or our agent’s vehicles between the public highway and the actual point of delivery;
5. Order cancellation by you
5.1. If you wish to cancel an order with us, please contact us as soon as possible by telephone and in any event no later than 10am the following day.
6. Cancellation by Us
6.1. We reserve the right to cancel your order if: 6.1.1. We have insufficient stock to deliver the oil you have ordered; 6.1.2. You require delivery outside the areas set out in Clause 3.1.; or 6.1.3. The oil you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information made by us and/or received by us from our suppliers. 6.2. If we do cancel your order we will notify you by e-mail and will recredit to your account any sum deducted by us from your debit or credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 3 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
7. Defects
7.1. We warrant that all oil promoted for sale is of satisfactory quality. 7.2. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects and we are liable for the claim, we can at our discretion: make up the shortage; replace the oil free of charge or refund you the price of the oil in question. 7.3. Except where you are a consumer, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage or loss of profits arising out of our supply or failure to supply the oil to you. 7.4. The rights you have under Clauses 7.1. And 7.2 above do not in any way seek to limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence and they do not limit any statutory rights you have as a consumer. 7.5. You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation and the provisions of Clause 4. 7.6. Except where you are acting as a consumer all other warranties, conditions and terms relating to fitness for purpose, satisfactory quality or condition of the domestic heating oil whether implied by statute or common law or otherwise are excluded to fullest extent of the law. 7.7 Should you wish to make a complaint regarding any aspect of your order or delivery of oil you must do so within 7 days of either placing the order, or receiving the oil. We will deal with your complaint within 5 days. Within this time we will keep you informed and provide you with a timescale for a likely solution.
8. Use of Cards By placing an order you authorise us at our discretion to carry out a credit reference or other enquiry upon your financial status as we think fit and you agree to provide such written authorisations which may be required for the purposes of such enquiry. In the absence of such authorisation we will be unable to process your order.
9. Events beyond our control we shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver oil you have ordered or for any delay in doing so or for any change of the specified delivery date or for any damage or defect to oil delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond Our reasonable control including, without limitation, third party default, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, embargo, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.
10. Privacy / Data Protection
10.1. By sending messages to Us, You consent to Chandlers Oil & Gas Limited processing your personal data. 10.2. From time to time, We may notify You by e-mail, phone or post to keep You up to date with our latest offers/brochures etc. If you prefer not to receive such offers, please tick on the opt out box situated within the checkout page. 10.3. We use encryption software in an attempt to keep your personal information secure. However, We cannot guarantee that any messages transmitted over the internet, including those that contain credit card details, will not be corrupted or intercepted by a third party. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
7. Defects
7.1. We warrant that all oil promoted for sale is of satisfactory quality. 7.2. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects and we are liable for the claim, we can at our discretion: make up the shortage; replace the oil free of charge or refund you the price of the oil in question. 7.3. Except where you are a consumer, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage or loss of profits arising out of our supply or failure to supply the oil to you. 7.4. The rights you have under Clauses 7.1. And 7.2 above do not in any way seek to limit our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence and they do not limit any statutory rights you have as a consumer. 7.5. You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation and the provisions of Clause 4. 7.6. Except where you are acting as a consumer all other warranties, conditions and terms relating to fitness for purpose, satisfactory quality or condition of the domestic heating oil whether implied by statute or common law or otherwise are excluded to fullest extent of the law. 7.7 Should you wish to make a complaint regarding any aspect of your order or delivery of oil you must do so within 7 days of either placing the order, or receiving the oil. We will deal with your complaint within 5 days. Within this time we will keep you informed and provide you with a timescale for a likely solution.
8.
